Collapsing email feature and bug fixes
Posted on 25 March 2008 by Bruce
Hard at work creating new features and options for iDesk and the latest result is the ability to collapse emails.
While this may not sound like a wonderful thing, it really is! If you have an ongoing issue and a ticket has a large number of replies the page height can get to crazy proportions.
By default emails are collapsed if there is more than one reply. This will save a lot of scrolling and help to keep response times to a minimum. The ability to expand all emails is just being added, but have no fear, it will be available.
Another option that is now available is the ability for the help desk to view email headers and email source for the current email. This is a new feature to iDesk and one that was sorely missing.
A bug has been fixed that caused closed tickets to remain closed even if there were replies to the ticket.
Progress is coming along great and the beta testing has shown that iDesk is stable and has been for a while now. I do not know what the new version number will be but I suspect it will be 2.x.
Keep watching for more updates.
